On Sunday, 25 October 2026, Panther takes on 42 kilometres. And we are cheering him on!
As the first wheelchair user to participate in the 42km race during the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon, Panther is challenging more than distance. He is challenging perceptions.
What happens when we stop looking at limitations and start recognising potential?
What happens when we make our roads, buildings, transport systems, sporting facilities and communities accessible to everyone?
We create opportunities. We unlock talent. We build an Africa where participation is not the exception, but the norm.
Panther’s journey is a reminder that inclusion is not about feeling sorry for someone. It is about creating opportunities for people to demonstrate what they can do.
At WezeshaAfricaâ„¢, we are a movement that believes in potential. We are here to cheer Panther on, celebrate his determination and challenge a society that too often decides what people can or cannot achieve.
This is not a pity party. It is a Potential Party!
As Panther takes on those 42 kilometres, let us ask ourselves:
What barriers can we remove? What opportunities can we create? Whose potential are we yet to recognise?
Because when we make space for one person, we help open the way for many others.
Panther, we are cheering you on!
You carry more than a baton of determination. You carry the possibility of a more inclusive Africa.
Wezesha Africa: Leaving Nobody Behind. Otherwise, why are we here?
